Basic Aphorisms

A poem is a dream put to words.

A poem is the response of an individual’s perception.

A poem that is not worth learning by heart is not a poem.

Those who know, worship at the poet’s shrine.

If a poet knows too much, a religion is born.

Poets name their fears and joys.

The poet claws at the door of life.

A poet’s mind is thrilled by discovered truths.

A poet projects feelings into objects.

A poet knows.
